Giclées
Giclées: Alternatives to Owning Art
gi·clée
/ZHēˈklā/
a technology for fine art reproduction using a high-quality inkjet printer to make individual copies.
Our premium giclées are printed in the USA on high quality canvas or heavy watercolor paper, and hand-signed and numbered by the artist. A canvas gallery wrap giclée is hand-stretched on heavy duty stretcher bars and is ready-to-hang and easy to clean. A giclée printed on watercolor paper has more of a matte finish, capturing the essence of original works in water media, and like water media requires a frame with protective glass or acrylic covering it.
An advantage of the giclée printing process compared to the traditional offset lithograph method is the archival quality. Giclée colors will not fade or dull over time, transcending from a print to a treasured heirloom.
Please allow 2-3 weeks for printing, stretching and shipping when ordering giclées, unless it is already in stock.
